The Ubuntu Courtyard Experience
We don’t claim to have all the answers for our journey has only just begun. However, we’ve embarked on several adventures and still learning to embrace who we are, hence the commitment to share our experiences, lessons and observations. Let us gather together and explore stories that seek to educate, entertain and engage while pointing towards responsible living.
Tap into the energy and curiosity of the young or wisdom of the old. Discover the goodness contained in the heritage of locals or unique gifts brought by the adventurous or foreigners who reside among us.
Find comfort from strong women and men who are gentle and whole. Your time spent with us is valued; therefore, we will only share stories that we are genuinely passionate and knowledgeable about. We write and publish stories that we’re proud to deliver.
About Founder
Fortune Ma-one founded Ubuntu Courtyard Publishers to fulfil a dream to lead a company with a purpose to champion personal growth. She was raised through stories; her parents had a knack for describing events and explaining circumstances through storytelling. Known as a cheerleader amongst close friends, Fortune derives joy from seeing others thrive. Her personal journey and experiences have contributed to how she views the world:
Our differences make us whole, and they must be celebrated.
Fulfilled individuals build up thriving communities.
Great encounters are often found in the least likely, the weak and those who seem as if they've got nothing to give. It takes unconditional love to unlock the secret.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Zimbabwe and a Masters in International Management, obtained from the University of Sheffield, UK. Fortune blossoms on a balanced diet of adventure, meaningful relationships, good books, music and laughter.
