Thank God it's Friday!I hope you all had a great week. Headed straight for the computer the moment I got home. Watched Avengers with the kids this evening, and I'm so impressed by my tolerance skills. Three hours of trying to piece together a storyline I still have no intention of understanding proved to be a task, but I still enjoyed the atmosphere. But as much as Marvel is not my cup of tea, I'm thankful that I could make a day out of it with the kids who loved every moment.
The lady who was sitting next to me (lone movie goer) sobbed like nobody's business at some point. Full House it was, but such impeccable cinema goers...no movement, talking, and no shouting for three whole hours! So much to be thankful for this week, and most of it will be written in my journal. I've connected with a group of lovely ladies from across the globe and was reminded about how easy it can be to miss what's ahead of us because of grief, pain and loss. Most of the times, the answers we seek are right in front of us, but how many of us aren't good at listening to that voice. As if on cue, a good friend of mine called, and as we chatted about dreams, they reminded me to learn to be obedient. Most of the time, we lose out not because our prayers weren't answered the first time, but because we ignored the signs, or tried to manipulate the situation because it's not what we had in mind. This week, I've realised that perhaps my busyness and lack of faith has cost me in some ways and caused unnecessary delays. I am grateful for the fantastic people I've met this week and the plans for the weekend. If there's one important lesson I've learnt this week is that the more I seek to find good in people, the more they show me just how good they can be. Hope you have a lovely weekend!
