Day of Rest : I AM GratefulI hope you had a great day. I am not going to write much today. I’ve been in shut-down mode to try and nurse a nasty bout of flu. I've been looking after a child with man-flu, so I was bound to get a dose. However, I'm thankful that I could switch off and focus on rest. I understand that had I been in a different position, it would have been difficult, if not impossible, to stop.
Although I had to cancel today's meetings, I was surprised by how right it felt to wake up a bit later than usual, take a shower, and put pyjamas back on again, and relax. I remember the days when I couldn't do that because work was calling, and I know that millions of people worldwide cannot afford to stop at the slightest warning that something is not right. We work so much, some of us behind the scenes, but I hope that we make it a priority to be kind to ourselves once in a while. An early night is calling. I will be back tomorrow with a meaningful article as we near the end of the 30-Day Challenge. Although I still have two more days to go, may I take this opportunity to thank you for your visits. I never know who is reading, but I've seen page views spike in the past three weeks; that was a huge boost to keep going. Thank you for your votes of confidence and for taking a moment to 'consume' what's on offer. I sincerely hope that you've found inspiration to practice more gratitude in your lives and unlock the blessings that lie in store for you. Remember, the journey of a thousand miles starts with one step. I hope you can take just one action or crank up your gratitude not only for yourself but for those you hold close to your heart and many others who could benefit from your kind and considerate acts. The more inspired we are to make changes without being forced, the better the chances of doing the right thing. From then on, we can take the necessary and proper steps to restore what we've lost or even discover something new so we can all thrive! It's never too late to start doing the right thing or even employing what we never thought possible. That's the essence of this website: REFLECT, RESTORE, THRIVE. Until tomorrow, have a good night.
